At Danish Comfort we develop and produce weighted animals, weighted vests and weighted blankets – sensory stimulating aids that create calm in the body, reduce restlessness and can relieve anxiety and stress in both children and adults. Our weighted products are used by people with, among other things, ADHD, autism, stress, dementia, anxiety, restlessness and sleep challenges.

We offer weighted products filled with either pp balls, sand or cherry stones – each with their own unique benefits:

  • Plastic balls/pp balls: Our small certified plastic balls (pp balls) are food-approved and can be machine washed at 30 degrees – a combination that makes them both practical and hygienic. This makes them particularly suitable for places such as nursing homes, daycare centers, residences and hospitals, where thorough and easy cleaning is important.
  • Sand: Our certified sand is made of natural sand and food-approved, which is cooler and feels heavier than the PP balls. The bag can be heated in the microwave for less than a minute and must be removed before washing.
  • Cherry stones: Our cherry stones are particularly suitable for therapeutic use and pain relief, as they effectively retain both heat and cold. Heat the bag in the microwave for 2 minutes, and the soothing heat from the cherry stones will help the muscles to relax and become pleasantly soft. This can promote relaxation and contribute to better sleep. If you need cooling, the weighted product can also be placed in the freezer – perfect if you want to cool down before bed. Cherry stone is also a sound-absorbing product.

Weighted animals for both children and adults

Weighted animals from Danish Comfort are sensory stimulating aids that provide pressure and support on the body. Pressure and weight have a calming effect on people with motor and sensory challenges. Our weighted teddy bears have been developed based on valuable input from citizens, educators and PPR. This has enabled us to collaborate with residential care facilities and mental health services to meet the right needs.

Our unique and soft weighted vests are designed to deliver targeted, deep pressure on the shoulders, chest and legs – areas that many users highlight as particularly effective in creating calm and security.

Sensory stimulation with a weighted vest

Our unique weighted vests are designed to create a simple, stylish solution that can be integrated into everyday life without attracting unnecessary attention. The vest helps to reduce restlessness and anxiety in both children and adults with ADHD or autism, for example while shopping or at school. This is achieved by the vest stimulating both the tactile sense (the sense of touch) and the proprioceptive sense (the sense of muscle and joint), which increases body awareness.

Our weight vest is available in sizes from 4 years to XXL, making it suitable for the whole family. With our own sewing room, we can sew vests as needed.

Adjustable in weight and weight distribution:

You can adjust the weight up and down between 1-5 kg with filled bags. The vest is constructed with sewn channels where you can remove the small weight bags, so that the weight can be adjusted as needed.

Weighted blankets – sensory blankets for restful sleep

Do you experience restlessness in your body or thoughts when you go to sleep? Then a weighted blanket, also known as a ball blanket, can be the tool that gives you a restful night’s sleep. Weighted blankets are blankets with built-in weight. A weighted blanket provides deep pressure, which has an embracing effect and, like massage and acupuncture, has a calming effect on the central nervous system.

With a weighted blanket from Danish Comfort, you can therefore get peace of mind and body when you go to sleep. Our blankets are constructed with comfort and quality in focus. The weight bags can be removed, so you can adjust the weight yourself and distribute the weight exactly where you want the pressure. The blankets can be ordered with sand or small plastic balls weighing up to 14 kg.
