At Danish Comfort, we develop and produce weighted animals, weighted vests, and weighted blankets – sensory-stimulating aids that help calm the body, reduce restlessness, and alleviate anxiety and stress in both children and adults. Our weighted products are used by individuals with ADHD, autism, stress, dementia, anxiety, restlessness, and sleep difficulties.

Weighted Animals for Both Children and Adults

Weighted animals from Danish Comfort are sensory-stimulating aids that provide pressure and support to the body. Pressure and weight have a calming effect on people with motor and sensory challenges. Our weighted plush animals have been developed with valuable input from users, educators, and professionals in child and youth services. This has enabled us to collaborate with care homes and psychiatric facilities to meet the specific needs of users.

Our unique and soft weighted animals are designed to deliver targeted, deep pressure to the shoulders, chest, and legs – areas that many users highlight as especially effective for creating a sense of calm and safety.

We offer weighted products filled with either cherry stones or small beads – each with their own unique benefits.

The small plastic beads are certified, food-grade, and machine-washable at 30°C – a combination that makes them both practical and hygienic. This makes them particularly suitable for environments such as nursing homes, daycare centers, care facilities, and hospitals, where thorough and easy cleaning is essential.
Cherry stones are particularly suitable for therapeutic use and pain relief, as they retain both heat and cold effectively. Warm your weighted animal in the microwave for 2 minutes, and the soothing warmth from the cherry stones will help your muscles relax and soften. This can promote relaxation and contribute to better sleep. If cooling is needed, the plush can also be placed in the freezer – perfect if you want to cool down before bedtime.

Sensory Stimulation with Weighted Vests

Our unique weighted vests are designed to be a simple, stylish solution that integrates into everyday life without drawing unnecessary attention. The vest helps reduce restlessness and anxiety in both children and adults with ADHD or autism – for example, during shopping trips or at school. This is achieved by stimulating both the tactile sense (sense of touch) and the proprioceptive sense (sense of body awareness through muscles and joints), thereby increasing body awareness.

Our weighted vests are available in sizes from age 4 up to XXL, making them suitable for the whole family. With our in-house sewing studio, we can also make custom vests as needed.

Choice of filling:

Certified sand or small, food-grade certified plastic beads.

Adjustable weight and distribution:

You can adjust the weight between 1–5 kg using filled pouches. The vest is constructed with sewn-in channels where the small weight pouches can be removed, allowing the weight to be tailored to individual needs.

Weighted Blankets – Sensory Blankets for Restful Sleep

Do you feel restless or experience racing thoughts when trying to sleep? A weighted blanket – also known as a gravity or sensory blanket – might be the tool that helps you get a calm and restful night’s sleep. Weighted blankets contain built-in weight that applies deep pressure, which has an embracing effect and a calming influence on the central nervous system, similar to massage or acupuncture.

With a weighted blanket from Danish Comfort, you can calm both your body and mind at bedtime. Our blankets are designed with comfort and quality in mind. The weight pouches can be removed, so you can adjust and distribute the weight according to your preference. The blankets can be ordered with sand or small plastic beads, with a total weight of up to 14 kg.
